Mark P. McAuliffe has been admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey since 1991 and in New York since 1992.

He is Certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney. He defends individuals and corporations charged with indictable crimes and lesser offenses ranging from Homicide to Harassment. He has handled thousands of traffic-related matters and offenses. Mark frequently represents children charged with Juvenile Delinquency offenses in the Family Court.

Mark’s Family Law practice deals with disputes over grounds for Divorce, Custody, Alimony, Palimony, Child Support, Paternity, Adoption, Health and Life Insurance, Grandparents’ Rights, Attorneys Fees, Parental Alienation, Emotional Abuse and simple and complex disputes regarding the division of real and personal property and valuations of small, medium and large businesses and partnerships. He has negotiated and drafted detailed Property Settlement Agreements, Pre-Nuptial Agreements and Domestic Partnership Dissolution Agreements. Mark has arbitrated and mediated hundreds of Family Law disputes. He also represents persons investigated by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), for Child Abuse and Neglect (Title 9), and in actions for Care and Supervision (Title 30). Mark completed the required training to serve as a Mediator of Family Law disputes.



Mark handles Probate Litigation matters and counsels Administrators and Executors of Testate and Intestate Estates. He has litigated numerous disputes between Beneficiaries, Executors and Administrators. He has both compelled and produced estate accountings. Mark has been Court appointed to represent alleged incompetent persons in Guardianship proceedings, and has petitioned the Court for the appointment of Guardians.

Mark graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance and International Management. He earned a diploma in International Business from Nijenrode in the Netherlands. He graduated from Boston College Law School, after being awarded the Cremens Award for outstanding work in clinical programs.

Mark served as an Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor and as Pool Attorney for the Office of the Public Defender.

Mark is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Bar Association of the City of New York. He is a Barrister in the Barry Croland Family Inn of Court. He was recently named to the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association (FLEC).

Mark is active in the Georgetown University Alumni Association and the Boston College Law School Alumni Association.

Mark and his wife, Mary, raised their 3 children in Allendale, New Jersey, where Mark served as Vice President of the Allendale Board of Education, and was active as a basketball, softball and baseball coach in REC Sports, and as a Parent Volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 59. Mark grew up in Teaneck and is a proud graduate of Teaneck High School (1980).
